D. Professional Experience & Responsibilities · Extensive experience in atmospheric and air pollution studies and in development and utilization of mathematical models for determination of dispersion pattern of air pollutants emitted from industrial sources.· Directing all atmospheric and air pollution studies at the Environmental Sciences Department at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Initiated and led several projects and tasks in air pollution modeling, environmental impact assessment, chemical hazard assessment and desertification.· Directing the Environmental and Earth Sciences Division, which comprises the Environmental Sciences Department, the Hydraulics and Coastal Engineering Department and the Remote Sensing Group. Responsible for technical, administrative and financial management of the division staff comprising of engineers, scientists, laboratory technicians, and administrative. The division areas of research include marine pollution, environmental risk assessment, air pollution, desert environment, environmental control engineering, environmental planning and impact assessment, and hydraulic and coastal engineering.· Teaching a course entitled "Environment & Human" at Kuwait University for the fiscal years 1992/93, 1993/94 and 1994/95.· Teaching a course entitled "Climatological Geography" at Kuwait University, since 1985 till 1998.· Supervised a graduate student in his M.Sc.
