Ron is a nationally recognized expert at determining the health effects and environmental consequences of accidental releases to the atmosphere. Employing complex dispersion models in combination with air concentration measurements, he has responded to over 100 real-world incidents and interacted with over 250 local, state, and federal agencies nationwide. The incidents include a wide variety of industrial chemical spills, explosions, and fires as well as releases from nuclear facilities. Ron has supported US Government responses to international incidents such as the 2011 Fukushima and 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accidents, the 1991 Desert Storm events, and the massive Kuwaiti oil fires.
