Mr. Cimorelli is a Senior Associate at EnviroComp Consulting, Inc. His competence covers the use of air pollution models and, in particular, the AERMOD Modeling System. Mr. Cimorelli received a BA degree in Physics from Temple University in 1970 and an MS degree in Environmental Science from Drexel University in 1973. He has worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency for 39 years and has retired in 2014. For most of that period he served as Lead Meteorologist for Region 3. His responsibilities included, research and development in atmospheric dispersion modeling and other related analysis techniques, the development of Agency guidance related to all aspect of air dispersion modeling, the review and conduct of regulatory air modeling studies and air risk assessments & the development of the Multi-criteria Integrated Resource Assessment (MIRA) decision analysis framework. Mr. Cimorelli is one of the principal developers of the AERMOD model. In addition to his work at EPA he has also held the position of adjunct assistant professor at Temple University and adjunct associate professor at Drexel University where he has taught many undergraduate and graduate courses on advanced air quality modeling, environmental law and environmental engineering.
